# Privacy *policy*

Effective date: 25 September 2026

**The short version:** Seek doesn't collect any personal information. There are no accounts, no ads and no cross-app tracking. To understand how the game is played and make it better, Seek sends anonymous usage statistics through TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service. These can't be used to identify you.

## Personal information

None. Seek doesn't ask for your name, email address or any other personal details, and you don't need an account to play.

## Anonymous usage statistics

Seek uses [TelemetryDeck](https://telemetrydeck.com/privacy/) to count how the app is used. It sends short signals when, for example, the app opens, a puzzle is completed, a hint is used, the store is viewed or a purchase completes, cancels or is restored. A signal can include the pack and level, time taken, hints used, the product purchased, your iOS version, device model, app version and language.

Each install is represented by a random identifier that is hashed (scrambled one-way) on your device before it's sent, so neither we nor TelemetryDeck can connect it to you, your Apple Account or your other apps. We don't use Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA), we don't combine this data with anything else, and it's never used for advertising or sold. We only look at totals, such as how many people finish a pack or which puzzles are too hard.

## Your progress

Your game progress, streaks, hint balance and settings are stored on your device, or in your own iCloud account if the app uses it. We never receive or see them.

## Purchases

In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment details or your Apple Account. Apple tells the app which items you've unlocked so they can be restored, and Apple's handling of your purchase is covered by [Apple's privacy policy](https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/).

## Sharing

If you choose to share a result, Seek opens your device's standard share sheet. Nothing is shared unless you choose to send it, and we don't receive what you share.

## Third-party services

TelemetryDeck (Germany, EU) is the only third-party service in Seek. Seek has no advertising networks, no social media SDKs and no data brokers.

## Children's privacy

Seek doesn't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. The anonymous statistics described above can't identify a player, so Seek is suitable for players of all ages.

## Your rights

Under data protection laws such as the GDPR, you have rights over your personal data, including access and deletion. Because the usage statistics are anonymous, we can't find or single out data about you, but you're always welcome to contact us with any questions. Deleting the app removes all progress stored on your device.

## Changes to this policy

If Seek changes how it handles information, we'll update this page and the effective date above before the change takes effect.
